If my mother ever makes me wear one of those tie...neck...things ever again in my life I swear to the gods, to Merlin, hell even to that bloke Jesus I'll take the bloody thing and show her just how horrible those things can be.
What's the point of dressing up to impress family, anyway? They're already related to me, what else do I have to prove? That I can endure stuffy robes and suffocating boa constrictors neck ties?
On the plus side (and there's really only one) I now have a large addition to my candy stash. Thank Merlin for proper uncles.
I think I'll go escape for a bit...and enjoy my candies in relative peace. If that's even possible in this insane asylum. |

Looks like someone has decided to play matchmaker for the Valentine's Ball. Brilliant name, too. The Matchmaker. Ought to join up with us - seems like you have the personality of a Marauder.
Can't wait to see what comes of this...hopefully some entertaining fights, some hexes thrown here and there... Maybe James will stop being an idiot if Lily just goes with him...
In other, slightly related, news - I have my own date for the ball. And a very lovely one at that. Whoever says pranks aren't a good way to meet people is full of lies. |

The only thing better than a good fireworks display on New Year's Eve (and that certainly was a good one, mates) is a good fireworks display on New Year's morning. Strategically placed in certain spots throughout the house, of course. The look on my brother's face was priceless. Perfect way to greet the new year, if you ask me!
I think the only other thing that has saved my sanity this holiday was getting out of the house. Remus, mate? You definitely deserved the drink - I think I would have gone mad[der] by now if not for meeting up with you.
Can't believe I'm admitting this aloud but Monday can't come fast enough. Bring on the train! |

Ah, the last day of classes. Both a joyous and somber occasion all at once. Joyous because for a few weeks we will part ways with the annoyance that is class and homework...and somber because I have to go back to that hell hole ahem I mean back to that place I regretfully call home.
I hope you all won't forget me while I'm forced to wear stuffy robes and nod politely at all the ridiculous relatives who will no doubt be streaming through to no end.
Send me lots of letters? And maybe some cookies? You know how much I love your mum's cookies, James.

There have been some strange going-ons around this castle. Not that there isn't always something strange going on (and half the time I'm a part of it). Stranger than usual would probably be the best phrase to use.
