Current mood: grumpy

If my mother ever makes me wear one of those tie...neck...things ever again in my life I swear to the gods, to Merlin, hell even to that bloke Jesus I'll take the bloody thing and show her just how horrible those things can be.

What's the point of dressing up to impress family, anyway? They're already related to me, what else do I have to prove? That I can endure stuffy robes and suffocating boa constrictors neck ties?

On the plus side (and there's really only one) I now have a large addition to my candy stash. Thank Merlin for proper uncles.

I think I'll go escape for a bit...and enjoy my candies in relative peace. If that's even possible in this insane asylum.

I think you're going about this neck tie thing all wrong. It's always nice to have a garrote on hand, I've found.

Except when it's around your own neck. Then it's really no use at all.

You haven't figured how to untie the knot yet, huh?

Course I have. I'm just saying...

Well let's just say no one would be suspicious if you started to loosen your tie. Especially you.

Especially me. Right. Thanks for the advice. Or whatever... I'll keep it in mind.

I was going to try and reassure you that there were worse things to have to wear but I couldn't come up with one.

See? Exactly my point. The attempt at consolation is noted and appreciated, though.

It's no problem. Though, I have come up with something worse. If we were girls, which thank Merlin, we're not -- we'd have to wear pointy shoes. That would most certainly be worse than a tie.

Good point. I often wonder why (or how) they manage to fit their feet into such ridiculous things. Comfort, pointy toes, comfort, pointy shoes...Yup, definitely choose comfort.

Then again we could just ditch shoes altogether and walk around barefoot. I wonder what our professors would say about that...

Comfort will always win.

We might have to try it one of these days. There's no rule saying that shoes have to be worn in classrooms.

Might have to? One of these days? It's more along the lines of definitely will! Soon too. Might just need a warming charm for our feet. Castle floors are cold - I can tell you that from experience.

Well that's an interesting tidbit to note. However strangling neck-tie-things are still bloody awful. Normal ties are a different matter entirely.

It's been good, ups and downs. We are looking at other options for day nursery, the muggle ones... well, you'll see what she's been doing when you come visit.

Taking after the trouble-making side of the family, is she?

Would you mind a visitor this week? I overheard Mother saying something about going out on Tuesday...I could probably sneak away. Merlin knows, I need to get out of this house, Andy.

The ministry? I'd be more afraid of my mother, truthfully. But no, I don't believe the authorities will be called on this one. Maybe a psychologist for my brother...

You'll have to tell me when you come. Not in earshot of the girl though, wouldn't want her getting any ideas. Not as clumsy as she is anyway, probably end up hurting herself more.
