| Bio: | Name: Sirius Orion Black Birthday: 12 December, 1959 House: Gryffindor Year: 5th Kind of blood: Pure Pet: Owl Born into the Noble House of Black, Sirius had a large responsibility growing up to uphold as heir to the Black Family “throne.” For the most part, his childhood wasn’t bad, and he enjoyed spending time with his younger brother Regulus, and his parents. Along with his brother, he was home schooled until he received his letter to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry at age eleven. Until the day he left for Hogwarts Sirius’ life at home had been find, but after being sorted into Gryffindor upon reaching Hogwarts, things slowly began to go downhill. The first few days at Hogwarts were hard for him – he received numerous howlers from his mother (and the woman certainly could scream), was constantly bugged by his older cousin, and just had a miserable time in general. But soon, after much prodding from James Potter, Sirius began to lighten up to his housemates, and after a while really started to settle into Gryffindor. As the months (and years) went by he slowly began to shy away from his parents and family, and began to see them for what they truly were: prejudiced, dark wizards who were missing out on so much the world had to offer, muggle and wizard alike. Although his parents (and almost all of his family) were dark wizards, his parents were not Death Eaters, but merely supported Voldemort’s ideals. Sirius is very outgoing, cocky, and although he hides it with his foolishness, is very gifted. His only fears in life are of becoming like his parents, losing his friends, and walking and/or skating on frozen lakes (the latter thanks to a bad childhood experience). He excels at Defense against the Dark Arts, Charms, and Astronomy. He is tall, with slightly wavy, black hair that ends just below his ears. He is thin, but also on the muscular side and has fair skin, though he tries to spend as much time outside as he can, especially during the summer. He has bright, grey eyes that reflect his mood very well, and to his dislike, often give away his true feelings, even if he tries his best to hide them. He often blames the Black family gene pool for that. His best friends are James Potter, Remus Lupin, and Peter Pettigrew, who call themselves “The Marauders.” He is closest to James, who is not only his best friend, but his partner in crime. The pair spends most of their time planning and executing pranks on their fellow classmates and professors. As a result, they spend numerous after school hours in detention, but the two don’t mind – it’s usually worth it. Sirius, although he doesn’t admit it and claims to hate the library, actually enjoys reading and if one knew where to look, they’d find a book hidden under Sirius’ bed at all times. He has a hopeless addiction to Sugar Quills and will steal any he lays his sight on. He hopes to one day become either an Auror or a Spell Breaker once graduating from Hogwarts; anything with excitement and travel will do. Likes: Pranks, sugar quills, pie, eating, sleeping, astronomy, sunshine/being outdoors, quidditch Dislikes: Mushrooms, ice skating, prejudice, his family Extracurricular Activities: Charming the ladies, pranking, the occasional quidditch game Romantic history: Sirius loves the ladies, but he's never one to keep a girlfriend for too long. Some might say he's avoiding commitment, but there might be more to it than that. He certainly doesn't mind all of the attention he gets, though.
